Toy's Scrap & Salvage, Corp. is a family-owned and operated scrap, recycling and refuse company. We are located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Toy's Scrap & Salvage, Corp. was founded in 1961 by recycling visionary Reed H. Toy. Reed was a leader in the scrap and recycling industry here in the Chippewa Valley.

Reed had a vision to recycle auto parts, scrap and steel years before recycling was popular. Reed continued to develop his ideas and transform them into community services until the time of his death in 1991. Wilma, Reed's partner and wife, continued to manage the company until the time of her retirement in 2003.

Toy's Scrap & Salvage, Corp. is currently owned and operated by R. Thomas Toy and his wife Christine. Tom purchased the family business in June 2003. Like his father before him, Tom has an inherent vision to incorporate ideas into action and provide quality services to people and companies in Chippewa Valley and beyond.
* It is with great pride and satisfaction to confirm that Northern Metals LLC has purchased Toy's Scrap and Salvage Corporation, effective June 30, 2010.

With the addition of Toy's two locations, Northern Metals will now be comprised of 12 operating scrap facilities, in three states (North Dakota, Minnesota, & Wisconsin), with the head office located in Minneapolis.

Tom Toy will continue to run and manage the current Toy's facilities, as the new Director of Western Wisconsin Operations.
